                                         Nuclear Sightings

On October 16th of 1962, Major Richard Heyser of the United States Air Force was flying high over the Carribean in his U-2 spy plane. As he flew over Cuba, he took pictures of many missile sites and sent them to the C.I.A.(Central Intelligence Agency). The C.I.A. analyzed the pictures and confirmed that they were indeed missile sites. After reviewing the photos, the analysts took the pictures to John F. Kennedy. Kennedy would then spend the next two weeks figuring out how to stop nuclear war.
